Yankee Stadium is the home of the New York Yankees and is located in the Bronx, New York. The house that Ruth built was opened in 1923. Yankee Stadium is probably the most famous baseball stadium that there is. Some of baseball’s greatest moments have occurred here including Reggie Jackson hitting three home runs in the 1977 World Series, Babe Ruth one of baseball’s most famous figures hit his home runs here. For a concert with a view there are a couple of must go to venues for an unforgettable experience. Red Rocks Amiptheater is located in Red Rocks park outside of Denver, to hear a concert in the place surrounded by amazing scenery is a great memory. U2 and many other bands have played here. Another great venue is the Gorge ampitheater in Quincy, Washington. The Gorge is set in the cliffs above and overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, is the place to see a concert in the Pacific Northwest. Madison Square Garden is perhaps the most famous venue of all. The Madison Square Garden which opened in 1968 and we go to today is the seventh version of an idea of P.T. Barnum in 1871. This first Madison Square Garden had the first indoor ice skating rink. Until boxing was moved to Las Vegas most every major title fight was held here. Boxers from Joe Louis to Mohammed Ali who fought Joe Frazier in the fight of the century. Every major performer has played here over the last forty years. From Frank Sinatra to the Concert for Bangladesh, from Pavorotti to Pearl Jam, everyone has performed here.
